This Sunday we will begin an all-new series in the book of Esther entitled, "When God Seems Invisible." Esther is the only book in the Bible that doesn't mention God by name or have a direct reference to him. However, the events recorded reveal his hand of provision for his people each step of the way. We also see that God invites us to be responsible to him for not only for ourselves but for the benefit of others. The opening scene in chapter 1 shows us the events taking place in the royal throne room in the empire of Persia in the city of Susa. It seems a most unlikely place for God to be at work. Perhaps there is another throne room in which God is working.
