This Sunday as we consider "The Child of Promise" we will ponder the reality that we need a better king. Kings are not a thing here in America for good reason. There aren't too many good ones. But truth be told, even today our leaders are deeply flawed and do not deliver for the people what we hope for. We need someone better. The virgin, Mary, knew that. Isaiah the prophet knew that. We know it too. They were told of one who would come, a child born a king. A deliverer from God who would be able to bring true freedom, joy, righteousness and peace. Do you know King Jesus this way? Will you consider the possibility that was born to be a better king for you? I hope you will.
