The Image of God in What I Do
We continue our series “Who Am I?”. We finish answering the question through the lens of Creation this week. We will see that “Who am I?” means not only who we are as individual persons that we looked at last week, but also includes what we do and how we give back within community. Genesis tells us that: 1) I am a family member and 2) I am a Contributor to Society. The answer of creation to “Who Am I?” is diverse, rich and empowering. Many modern answers are considerably “less than” being made in the image of God and do not enable us to flourish in God’s world. But the utopian answer of creation to “Who Am I?” opens the door to the question “What went wrong?” that we will answer in the following weeks.
