Shame
This Sunday will be our final Jesus Love Scene. Here Jesus meets a woman caught red handed in the act of adultery. The Scribes and Pharisees accuse her in front of Jesus, bringing charges of breaking the law of Moses and sentencing her to death. It's a trap for him and her. But once again, Jesus, the Son of God, exposes the hearts of all present, including the guilty woman. He shows himself to be both just and loving. How can God be just, upholding his law and punishing wrongdoers and compassionate, forgiving and kind to the wayward? How does Jesus deal with our guilt and shame?
