This Sunday we return to our series “The Way of Jesus.” We’re in a section in which Jesus describes spiritual practices and how people sometimes go astray. This week we will consider what he says about prayer. In this section we find the version of the Lord’s Prayer we use every Sunday in worship. Jesus explains how we can get the most out of our time with God in prayer. He mentions 3 prayer mistakes to avoid and a model prayer to enjoy. God gave us the gift of prayer, he treasures our prayers and he wants the most for our experience with him in prayer. What a great way to start the New Year!
