This Sunday we return to the book of Acts for the Summer in a series entitled “Advancing in Adversity.” Previously we saw the Apostle Paul having this fast-paced, widespread ministry. But all that is about to change. Everyone knows that trouble is coming as he returns to Jerusalem. But even in this journey we find a beautiful snapshot of what the church can be like. There are clusters of believers scattered among all the cities on his route. There is generous hospitality to be had in their homes. Even though trouble is coming, they sense God leading them and providing for them. It is an encouraging scene.
