As we continue our teaching "The Way of Jesus" we come to a passage about oaths and vows. Jesus is interacting with a particular problem in the Jewish culture of his day. Ultimately, it has to do with how we use God's name and appeal to authority.  Perhaps you have experienced the pain of being duped by someone you thought you could trust. Perhaps they even said they were a person of faith.  When we used God's name inappropriately, it's like involving him in our shenanigans. Jesus is inviting us into a life of deep personal integrity. This is the way.
