In his faithfulness to Christ, Paul could say that he was never in violation of the laws of Rome. Not only was he a citizen, but he was an exemplary citizen. He was innocent, yet remained a captive for two years and shared his faith boldly. God was so with him in all of this. When life seems unfair, we may live with a clean conscience, blameless character and truth telling love.
