This Sunday we return to our series The Way of Jesus. After describing the counterintuitive "blessed" life of a disciple, Jesus goes on to describe how his disciples will impact the world. He uses the imagery of tasty salt being sprinkled and guiding light that shines through the darkness from a city on a hill. Those images describe how the lives of his disciples will cause those who watch us to glorify "our Father in heaven." Jesus had high expectations for how his disciples would impact those around them.
