Women’s Retreat 2017

This retreat is a time of fellowship with The LORD and each other. The women are encouraged in spiritual growth through teaching, by a special speaker; Bible study and discussion; quiet times and prayer; music and praise. Free time at the retreat offers the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings at Brookwoods, rest, shop, or participate in other suggested activities. The food is GREAT!! This is an event you may bring a friend with you and enjoy together.

Learning from the Past,

Living for the Future

"But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay.  Salvation belongs to the LORD!"    Jonah 2:9 (ESV)

West Church Women's Retreat ~ November 3-5, 2017

God’s grace and tender mercy is seen in the lives of many individuals in both the Old and New Testament.  People like Ruth, Hosea, Jonah, and Peter, are like us perhaps in more ways than we realize. They also experienced a number of the same challenges we face today. God met them in their circumstances, and He meets us in ours as well.  Come and get to know these Bible characters as flesh and blood people. Discover how they responded to God and what we can learn from them.

The Brookwoods Conference Center, located at the southern end of Lake Winnipesaukee, has over a quarter mile of waterfront and more than 475 acres of woodlands in the heart of the New Hampshire Lakes Region.

The housing at Brookwoods Conference Center is comprised of bunkroom style sleeping accommodations (although there are sufficient beds for most to have lower bunks). There are a limited number of semi-private rooms available for an additional $40.00  per room. These rooms will be available first to those with medical necessity, and then on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact the church office for more information regarding a semi-private room.

Diane Averill

We are pleased to welcome Diane Averill back again as our speaker this year.  A love for God’s Word and a love for people are evident in Diane’s life and ministry.  As a speaker and writer Diane uses her skills to support local church Bible study and outreach ministries, including people whose English is not their primary language.  She has co-authored several Bible studies including Nehemiah, Esther, Isaiah and the Gospel of John.  Diane is married to a pastor and has four married children and eleven grandchildren.
