Piano Concert: West Meets East

March 11, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Dr. Joo Hye Kim and Dr. Eunhae Grace Lee will present a piano four-hands concert, “West Meets East” at West Congregational Church.  The concert will include works by Dvorak, Kreisler, Mendelssohn, and Ravel.  Piano four-hands is a format in which two pianists play a single piano together.  This presentation produces an even fuller sound than solo piano and requires an extremely high level of collaborative spirit between the two pianists.

A sought-after chamber musician and collaborative pianist, Dr. Joo Hye Kim actively performs in recitals and concerts with instrumentalists and vocalists. She recently finished the Master of Divinity degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is currently the music coordinator, organist, and director of education at Tremont Temple Baptist Church in Boston, MA.

Dr. Eunhae Grace Lee is currently Assistant Professor of Music at Gordon College, Massachusetts, where she teaches applied piano, chamber music, and music in worship and serves as a collaborative pianist.  Ms. Lee is also enrolled at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in the Master of Divinity degree program, and serves West Congregational Church in Peabody as the pianist and organist.

Following the concert there will be a light dessert reception in the church’s fellowship hall.
