Prayer is the Key

Our Annual Mission Conference is coming fast and we are excited about how God will speak to us and move us toward greater participation in the Great Commission. The theme this year is Prayer is the Key. The theme is based on Colossians 4:3, And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ ….Paul in this verse states clearly in his request for prayer that if the Gospel is to go forth, God must make this possible and open the door for it. This reflects the Scriptural understanding that God is Sovereign in the salvation of souls. It is God’s grace and mercy that chooses, calls, draws, regenerates, awakens sinners who are dead in their trespasses and sins; and shows them their need for the Savior. Therefore prayer is the key, because prayer is our expression of dependency on God and God alone to save. We can’t but He can and does. We pray and ask God to move for His own glory and honor and make a way for the Gospel to be proclaimed and that God will grant repentance and faith in the hearing of the Gospel. We are anticipating God to be Glorified and His people stirred to action in our upcoming Missions Conference. We thank the Mission’s Committee for their hard and careful work in putting together another mission’s conference so that the people of God may be better equipped for the Great Commission both locally and globally.
